The Repair of Loop Colostomy Prolapse With a Revised Linear Stapler Tecnique: A Case Report

Stoma prolapse, is a common late complication of transvers loop colostomy. Increased intra-abdominal pressure, creation of too large ostomy hole in the facia, insufficient fixation of the colon mesentery to the peritoneum are among the etiological factors of stoma prolapse. Various surgical methods have been described in the treatment. In the past, preferred method has usually been changing the location of the stoma by laparotomy. In this article, we presented the transverse loop colostomy prolapse repair with the stapler in view of the literature.
