Sessile Serrated Adenoma of the Appendix: A Case Report

Serrated adenomas in the appendix are rarely detected lesions usually after appendectomy. Due to the high risk of cancer diagnosis, treatment is needed to be more carefully. Serrated adenoma incidence in appendix is still unknown. The preoperative diagnosis of these tumors is uncommon. Endoscopic intervention, both in diagnosis and treatment is very useful. In this case presentation, a 76-yearold woman after a standard appendectomy patients diagnosed in histopathological examination sessile serrated adenoma was discussed.
